OUTREACH MINISTRY NEWS -December 2017
CHRISTMAS FOOD BASKETS
We will be providing food baskets and a gift certificate to Aldi’s to (20) families during the Christmas holidays. Please keep them in mind if you would like to purchase food for the baskets. We would greatly appreciate the following food items to put in our food baskets: peanut butter, jelly, meals in a can, cereal, tuna, boxed stuffing/potatoes/desserts, cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, gravy or any food item you wish. Please place food items in the basket in the upper atrium by December 17th. We sincerely thank you for supporting this needed cause.
We will have a Mitten Tree in the atrium in January. Anyone wishing to participate, please bring in mittens, hats or scarves and place them on the tree by January 28th. We would like to get them to children in need as soon as possible.
“WORLD’S BEST DISH CLOTHS”
Many years ago, we sold the “World’s Best Dish Cloths” at a minimal cost to help offset some of our expenses to buy flowers, etc. for shut-ins. We have found a different supplier and will be selling these cotton/polyester blend dish cloths, once again. Please see Kathie Carpenter or Margaret Post if you would like to see/purchase some. The cost is $2.25 each.
